Hill Cities

Hill Cities Spring ReportDear Hill Cities Supporter:
Dec 2009

How does God speak to us today?

His Spirit uses His Word to "separate soul from spirit"

The result - conviction.

Faith is a conviction of things not yet seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

Hill Cities Ministry is led by Godly conviction.

We have developed a Gathering at Midwest Challenge this year. Midwest Challenge is a ministry of Recovery from either addictions or imprisonment. Every Friday morning this last year we have been building with the foundation of God's Spirit and Word.

Reggie Calhoun, former resident Midwest Challenge

"In the Gathering that Jeff Hagen leads at Midwest Challenge I came to realize for the first time in my life that I had been sitting on the fence spiritually and God told me to make my commitment to Him through Jesus."

Our hearts have opened to these men and God has given us a "conviction" from Him to help build a network of businesses to engage with Midwest Challenge and the larger R3 Recovery Ministry Collaborative on levels of:

Providing employment, mentoring, various levels of volunteering, and giving.

"A deep social conscience and a life poured out in deeds of service - especially for the poor among us - is the inevitable sign of real faith and a real conviction with God."
~ Pastor Timothy Keller, Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York

Our vision of "building a City on a Hill" is alive!

Our other Ministries include:

  1. "The Marketplace Gathering" at Joe Senser's in Bloomington, led by ministry partner, Evan Brue.
  2. A Bible Discussion Group at Interlachen CC.
  3. Weekly meetings with many in the Business Community.

Will you prayerfully reflect on supporting Hill Cities and help us build this network of engagement with business and the larger Church community?

Merry Christmas,
Jeff Hagen
