It is with great pleasure that we write our first newsletter and quarterly report.

We have this sense that the "wind of the Spirit," is filling our sails and propelling us toward, true north, for Hill Cities.

These first months have been busy, to say the least, but very rewarding! Here are some of the goals we have accomplished this first quarter:

  1. Establish a great Board of Directors and hold our first meeting by April 21.
  2. Initiate a strategic planning process.
  3. Hold a "Noon Discussion Series" and have Bob Stiles participate in this core ministry activity. One comment, "I have had questions all my life and until now, never had the chance to ask them."
  4. Hold a follow up discussion series that Bob leads.
  5. Secure a location and start a new "Marketplace Gathering" in St. Paul. (May 3) (Partnership with Frontline Church and Outreach Center)
  6. Raise enough finances to move Hill Cities forward.
  7. Initiate a leadership development plan. (Partnership with Dr. Greg Bourgond, Dean of Bethel's School of Leadership)
  8. Expand the leadership base at the "Gathering" on the south side.
  9. Identify and install an accounting and receipting program.
  10. Develop a logo, letterhead etc. for Hill Cities.
  11. Develop a dynamite and user friendly website.
  12. Send out the first quarter report by the beginning of May.
  13. Write a book of poetry. (Kidding)

Differentiation in the Marketplace

We have a conviction born of God's Spirit and His Word, that Hill Cities has these features that differentiate us:

Through our various ministry activities (see in website), we provide servant leadership; which delivers spiritual strength, direction, and opportunity that Christ seekers in the business community deeply desire.

The Word of God is clear, that to realize our spiritual destiny in Jesus Christ, we must be part of a true "spiritual community." This is where we learn to connect deeply with the risen Christ and each other, where our spiritual gifts can be exercised.

Hill Cities differentiates itself by delivering these in the workplace!

After many years in ministry, we have been able to develop an extensive network of key relationships, we have honed the spiritual tools of our trade, and we have developed an effective and proven ministry model.

As you enter into our website, we are certainly aware that only the Spirit of God can enable us to do these things.
